It’s been more than 10 years since Cindy Koleba had her first encounter with BeautiControl. She purchased skin care products at a friend’s home party, and it wasn’t long before she noticed the products were improving the way her skin looked. “My mom said, ‘Hey, you should see if it’s one of those companies where you could join and get the products at a cheaper price,’” Cindy says.

For the next five or six years, Cindy’s BeautiControl relationship was only skin deep. Then, in 2001, Cindy went to Celebration, an annual company event in Dallas. It was there she caught the vision of how she could use BeautiControl to change her life. She remembers the energy from that conference. “I was blown away,” she says. “I thought, ‘If I do this, maybe I won’t have to clean houses anymore.’” That vision sharpened when she learned how simple building a profitable business with BeautiControl could be. “They said that if I did two Spa Escapes® each week for a year and a half to two years, I could become a director and earn a free Mustang, a convertible— which wasn’t a lease,” she says. “That’s when I started working.”

Cindy held two Spas Escapes a week and earned her Mustang in about 18 months. She also earned enough money through her sales, and from the commissions she earned for building her team, to support her and her husband, Jason, while he earned his master’s degree. Continuing to build her business with Spa ESCAPEs and adding consultants to her unit, Cindy soon earned another free car from BeautiControl, a silver Lexus.

“I’m 30, and we have a beautiful home that’s almost paid off and two cars,” says Cindy, who has a toddler and is pregnant with their second child. She feels blessed that she now has enough money to support a number of worthy causes, both at home and abroad. “With the amount of money I bring in now, I’m able to make a huge difference in our church, in our community and around the world,” she says. “That gives me a tremendous amount of joy.”

Real Rewards

Though Cindy and her family are living a life she never could have imagined a decade ago, the most profound changes are far more significant than material possessions. Selfconfidence, leadership skills and more fulfilling relationships are a few of the intangible benefits she’s reaped from her time with the company. “I’m still the same person,” Cindy says. “But I’ve changed and grown.”

Cindy appreciates what the transformation has done for her family relationships. She credits the company for the leadership skills she’s developed, which help her support her husband more effectively in his role as pastor of a large church. “He’s at a very high leadership role at a young age as well,” she says. “I feel that BeautiControl has given me the leadership and people skills to be able to support him in his position.”


finding her focus

In her old life, Cindy cleaned not just her own house, but other people’s as well. She waited tables. She did office work. “I had no career path for my life,” she says. With BeautiControl she has found her path and loves the journey. She finds great joy in sharing the business opportunity with others - especially when it comes to helping them move into leadership roles in BeautiControl. “I got there first myself, and now I concentrate on giving my job away,” she says of reaching the director level. “Reaching director was like, ‘Wow, I actually did this.’ And it’s been really fun helping others get to that level, as well.” “A leader is someone who goes ahead, makes a path and inspires others to follow them along the way,” Cindy says. “I have a vision for what Canada could do with this amazing opportunity. I’m not managing anyone. I’m just running ahead and doing it first and saying, ‘Come with me. Follow me, because this is fun.’
